A Report of Cases on the Cubitus Varus Deformity Following Supracondylar Fracture without Displacement of the Humerus of the Children

Abstract

|
A seven year-old male had trauma on his left elbow in flexion position. Since that, time, he had been complaining of local pain, swelling and disability of his left, elbow joint And he showed infraction on lateral supracondylar region of his left humerus without displacemen´. m X-ray pictures. Patient had been treated by long arm cast for four weeks, and hysical therapy-for on a week after removing of his long arm cast. The range of motion of his left elbow. joint was as follows.. The extension was 180 degrees, and the flexion 50 degrees. The supination and pronation were normal in motion. The elbow joint showed slight cubitus varus deformity. which has ´been increasing with growth. The growth disturbance can be_ :a cause of change in the carrying angle. The anther would like conclude that the change of the carrying angle was caused by stimulation of the lateral epicondylar and capitllar epiphyls.
